Staff Correspondent: Jubo League leader Abdul Majid (28) was killed after being hit by a truck in Nandigram, Bogra. The accident occurred on Monday (May 30) afternoon in Ranbagha Bazar area of Nandigram upazila on the Bogra-Natore highway. He was the son of Moslem Uddin of Kaigari village of Nandigram Sadar Union and the organizing secretary of Jubo League of Nandigram Sadar Union.
Nandigram Sadar Union Awami League President Makhlesur Rahman Mintu said that Abdul Majid was going to Ranbagha Bazar from his house on a motorcycle around noon. At that time, a truck ran over him when he got on the highway in the market area. He was seriously injured. Later, locals rescued him and admitted him to Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital. He died in the afternoon while undergoing treatment there.
Kunderhat Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shahidul Islam said the truck could not be seized.
