Seventy-one Journal Desk: The Directorate General of Health Services is going to decide on vaccinating school students to prevent the ongoing contagious coronavirus in the country. A decision on this matter will be taken soon, said Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services, Professor Dr. Abul Bashar Md. Khurshid Alam.
He confirmed this matter this Wednesday (September 1) afternoon.
He said that a decision will be taken soon on the issue of giving corona vaccination to school children. He also said that there is a high-level meeting of the government tomorrow. It will be decided there whether school children will be given corona vaccination or not.
He said in his speech, the Prime Minister wants school children to be vaccinated. However, we have not received any instructions from the World Health Organization in this regard. We need to verify whether it is possible to vaccinate in our country in the same way as the Pfizer vaccine that has been given to schools and colleges in America. The vaccination according to the protocol they have given the vaccination is almost complete. University students have also been vaccinated. If the authorities of our country think so, then schools and colleges will be opened after ensuring vaccination under the instructions of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
