Russian military helicopter crashes, killing all on board

A Mi-8 military helicopter crashed in Oriole, Russia, resulting in the death of all the crew in the helicopter, according to a report on Friday (May 23). 

According to the report, a Russian military helicopter crashed during a training flight in the Oriole region, about 368 kilometers (229 mi) southwest of Moscow, crashing during a training flight, all on board. 

Oriole Governor Andre Klichkov said the emergency services team is working and police are working on the spot in the Oritzky district in Oriole.

He said there was no threat to the residents in the incident, he also requested the public not to share pictures or videos from the scene.

The Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement that the helicopter crashed into a deserted area, with no casualties on the ground, but the crew is not alive. 

The primary cause of the accident is being considered as the technical fault, but the number of members in the helicopter was not mentioned in the statement.
