Newborn's body recovered in Nandigram

Police recovered the body of a newborn baby from the side of the road in Nandigram, Bogra, after receiving a call on the national emergency service number 999. Police recovered the body abandoned next to a water body in the Tinmatha area of Dhakuri on the Katham-Kaliganj road of the upazila at around 12 noon today (March 23). Locals said that local people found the body of a newborn baby abandoned next to a water body in the afternoon. When the incident came to light, a call was made to 999. Later, the police recovered the body of the newborn baby. Nandigram Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Anwar Hossain said that the body of the newborn baby has been sent to the Bogra Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy. It is believed that the baby was abandoned soon after birth. An unnatural death (UD) case has been filed in this incident.
