On February 5, the 6-member search committee formed with the aim of four Election Commissioners or EC to appoint the CEC and four Election Commissioners recommended the names of 10 people to the President.
Various political parties and famous people were called by the search committee to name qualified people as election commissioners. In that call, several political parties, including the ruling Aomi League, sent a list of their nominees and many personally sent their names personally, although BNP and some other like-minded parties did not participate in the process.
The search committee had a few rounds of meetings and the search committees scrutinized the names of 10 people from the proposed names. On the night of February 24, the search committee members met the President and submitted the list of 10 people and the President appointed the CEC and four commissioners from that list.
