Three carriages of the freight train have been derailed at Kotchandpur in Jhenaidah, which has stopped the movement of trains in North Bengal including Khulna and Rajshahi.
The incident took place in the Safdarpur railway station area.
Kotchandpur station master Nayan Hossain said that the Parvatipur-bound oil train from Khulna reached Safdarpur station around 6 am. The three rear compartments were derailed, which stopped the railway movement of Khulna and Rajshahi along with Rajshahi.
Rescue train has left from Khulna. The station master also said that the movement will be normal soon after reaching.
It should be noted that on May 21, another freight train was derailed in the same area.
