Own Correspondent: The victim's family and local residents formed a human chain demanding the hanging of Faisal, who was arrested on the charge of raping a third-grade child in Sherpur's Jhenaigati, and the quick arrest of his accomplice Musharraf.
The human chain was held in the Fakhrabad market of the upazila on Friday afternoon, August 25. More than 500 people from different professions of the area participated in the human chain.
The rapist Faisal is the son of Abdul Samad alias Nazrul of Jhenaigati Sadar. Associate Mosharraf is the son of deceased Fazal Haque of West Manikkura village of Nalkura union of upazila.

Last Saturday, August 19, Faisal came to visit his maternal grandfather's house in West Manikkura village of Nalkura union of the upazila. That afternoon, third grade daughter of neighbor Mohammad Ali came to play at that house. At that time, Faisal with the help of his cousin Mosharraf Hossain called the child to his house and raped him. Meanwhile, some local beneficiaries threatened the victim's family to keep the incident a secret. Later, instead of taking the injured victim to the Upazila Health Complex, a local village doctor did 3 stitches on the victim's wound. Later, when the incident came to light, the family of the victim reported the matter to the police station and journalists, and the police arrested Faisal along with rescuing the raped child on the night of August 22.
In this regard, the father of the victim, Mohammad Ali, filed a case in the police station against the rapist Faisal and his accomplice Mosharraf as the plaintiff. The whole village was shocked by this incident. As a result of this, a human chain was held.
Local UP members Momin Hossain, Iman Ali Munshi and Tanjit among others spoke in it. The speakers demanded hanging of rapist Faisal and quick arrest of accomplice Musharraf. Before the human chain, the assembled crowd marched in Fakhrabad market.
