After inspecting the project, Saudi investor Prince Alwaleed bin Talal said that the construction work is going ahead according to the planned plan.<\/p>\n
He met the engineers and construction workers and reviewed the work progress, he said, \"God's praise, work is going on and we will complete the highest tower in the world.\"<\/p>\n
The construction of the Jeddah Tower began in 2013. However, the project was stopped in 2018 due to financial crisis and contracting complications. After a few years of suspension, construction resumed in 2025. Since then, the construction of the floor of the building has been continuously.<\/p>\n
When completed, the Jeddah Tower will be the first building in the world, which will have luxury residential apartments, five-star hotels, modern office space and one of the highest observation decks in the world, which is being built as the main attraction of Jeddah Economic City.<\/p>\n
The area of this huge development project is about 57 million square feet, which aims to make Saudi Arabia one of the centers of international business, investment and luxury tourism.<\/p>\n
Currently, the world's highest building is Burj Khalifa, which is 828 meters high. But the final height of the Jeddah Tower is more than 1,000 meters. If this is done, Burj Khalifa will break the record and create a new history of the world's tallest building.<\/p>\n
The project was designed by the world renowned architect Adritan Smith+Gordon Gille Architecture, which is in charge of the structural design and several international organizations including the Saudi Binladin Group are in charge of the construction.<\/p>\n
