State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaz has commented that digital technology should be developed through safe, responsible and positive use of digital technology.<\/p>\n
He said the advancement of technology will not stop, so children and adolescents should be prepared for the future by teaching them the right way, not away from technology.<\/p>\n
He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the BBC Median Action and \u2018Digital Gender Social Criteria in Digital scale: National Learning-Experience Exchange\u2019 at Hotel Lakeshore in Gulshan, Dhaka on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
The state minister said that the mass uprising in July 2024 While trying to stop the internet from the internet time has not been successful but it has not been successful, but that experience has proved that digital media is an integral part of society, state and civic life, so it is now the most important thing to do not deny technology, but to use it properly.<\/p>\n
He said that the development of technology has created a clear dissimilation of the prevailing social and cultural values of the society, which is why education, family, society and the state must work together to bridge this gap, especially for children and adolescents to be trained in digital behavior, verification of information and online ethics.<\/p>\n
Bobby Hajjaz said that fake pictures, fake videos, character abuse and digital harassment have reached alarming levels on social media, especially women, teenagers and women politicians, which are the biggest victims. Therefore, it is the need of the hour to ensure accountability on digital platforms and implement effective laws and policies to protect children and women.<\/p>\n
He said the government aims not to create unreasonable barriers to use technology, but to establish a balance between freedom and security.<\/p>\n
He also expressed the opinion that effective control is needed in some cases for the safety of children and women in the current social reality.<\/p>\n
The state minister added that the government is incorporating value-based education in primary education, digital safety, life skills, gender sensitivity and civic values as an important part of the new curriculum.<\/p>\n
He said that in the new education system, there is a plan to introduce interactive digital system in the classroom, tab for teachers and provide education-friendly digital devices for future students to bring teachers and students under technology-based education.<\/p>\n
Bobby Hajjaz said, ensuring the safe development of children is not only the responsibility of parents, but it is the responsibility of the whole society. That is why community involvement is being increased in primary schools.Guardian Committee has already been formed to supervise school meeting activities. and education Initiatives have been taken to involve parents and local people in other areas of the system.<\/p>\n
Addressing the development aid agencies, international and national NGOs, he said, the government is ready to take up and expand the initiative that will prove effective for the students.Our ministry is now working on open-door policy.Bring fruitful initiative, we will try to evaluate it and implement it on a larger scale.<\/p>\n
