Yesterday, acting on intelligence, law-enforcement officers raided the offices of websyncbd.com, a web development and hosting firm based in Savar Dohs, Nabinagar, Dhaka, and arrested its owner, Md. Juwel, in connection with the continued hosting of thefreespeech.net, a website recently at the centre of public controversy.<\/p>\n
Authorities said thefreespeech.net, along with Md. Juwel\u2019s business website, was taken offline as part of the operation. Mr Juwel has since been released on bail and barred from web-related activities pending the outcome of the investigation.<\/p>\n
