Open sugar price fixed at Rs.74

In view of the increase in prices in the global market, the government has re-determined the price of sugar in the domestic market. Today (Thursday), the Ministry of Commerce held a meeting with mill owners at the Secretariat. After the meeting, the price of loose sugar was fixed at Tk 74 per kg and packet sugar at Tk 75 per kg. Bangladesh will buy about 100 million vaccines from Chinese pharmaceutical companies Sinopharm and Sinovac.
