Bhavanipur of Parvatipur Upazila of Dinajpur in the cultural competition organized on the occasion of ‘Nazrul Year’ in memory of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. The students of the degree college have achieved incredible success. Recently, this cultural competition was held in Parvatipur Upazila Parishad under the initiative of the Ministry of Culture.
The students of the college won multiple awards in the competition held in various subjects, among them Israt Jahan won first place in the poetry recitation and Atqia Faiza won the first place in the essay competition.
Apart from this, Anindita Roy Mandira won second place in dance competition, Afrin Akhtar second place in solo performance and Israt Jahan third in music competition.
Syed Mohammad Ali, a physical education teacher in the college, said that participation in literature, culture and creative activities along with the students' education improves their talent and mindfulness. It is hoped that the students will play an important role in the welfare of the society and the country by holding Nazrul's equality, humanity, patriotism and non-communal spirit.
