Sargis Alam, chief organizer of the northern region of the National Party (NCP), has alleged that the old culture of filing false cases to suppress political opponents is still being held.
He made this complaint against BNP and Chhatra Dal in a post on his verified Facebook ID.
In a Facebook post, Sargis Alam reminisced about an incident of the Awami League period and wrote, ‘Awami League filed a case against Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir for vandalizing the city corporation's garbage car!’
