The US military has claimed to shoot down two Iranian attacking drones that are leading to the Strait of Hormuz, which is the latest clash between the two sides, amid renewed tensions in the Middle East.
On Sunday (June 7), the US Central Command (Centcom) social media X Deota announced the clash in a statement.
‘The US forces in the Middle East have shot down drones that threaten international navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, which has been destroyed by two Iranian unidirectional attacks.’
The US military claims that the US forces are ready and positionally capable of continuing defense against Iran's aggression.
Earlier on Friday night, Centcom had reported that they had destroyed four Iranian attack drones that were sent towards the Strait of Hormuz, which also led to the attack on the coastal surveillance radar facilities in Iran.
The continuation of this counter-attack is alleged that Iran launched missiles at the US allies Bairin and the Quadriat on Saturday.
But despite the tensions, there has been indirect talks for several weeks between Ozhington and Tehran to end the war, although it is still under discussion.
