After 24 long years, for the first time after joining the MPO, for the first time, a grand freshman and cultural program was held at Maidam Mahavidyal in Bhurungamari, Kuigram.
“With the theme ”Come O Navin Come O Dwar, Navayug Dakiche Tomare", this day-long program will be started on Saturday (December 13) morning with the recitation of Quran and Jati Sangeet in the premises of the university.
Former Deputy General Manager of Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation and brave freedom fighter Abdul Quader Mandal spoke as the chief guest at the event presided over by Aminul Islam Mandal, Founder Principal of Maidam University.
Professor of TMSS Medical College and visionary of Movement for Punctuity Dr. was present as a special guest. Meftaul Islam Milan, Pathardubi Uniuniton Parishad Chairman Abdus Sabur, former teacher and Upazila Haji Samiti President Taib Ali Sarkar, Tilai High School Head Teacher and Secondary Teachers Association President Amjad Hossain, Islamic history teacher Ruhul Amin Hamidi and Rasatan exhibitor ALM Nazmul Haque Mandal.
The speakers said that despite being running in the MPO for a long time, Maidam Mahavidyal has entered a new chapter today. After 24 years, Navin Baran is a glorious moment in the history of the college, which will create new enthusiasm among the students and the education program will be more dynamic.
The program was conducted by first year students Sadita Akhtar Keta Moni and Nargis Akhtar.
The second year students welcomed the fresh students with flowers from the college, followed by a wonderful cultural program.
