After a long expatriate life, BNP acting chairman Tariq Rahman is coming to the country on December 25.
This information was informed after the emergency meeting of the standing committee of the party at the office of BNP's chairperson in Gulshan, Dhaka.
Tariq Rahman was virtually involved in that meeting.
The meeting started at 9 pm on Friday (December 12) and after the meeting, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir informed the media.
Mirza Fakhrul said:,
‘The party's acting chairman Tarek Rahman will arrive in Dhaka on December 25. He is being welcomed by the party.’
Other leaders of standing committee member Mirza Abbas Chaa were also present in the meeting.
Tariq Rahman was arrested after the 1-11 pot change in 2007. After his release from prison in 2008, his family went to the UK for treatment.

In the post, he wrote, ‘In such a crisis, I have a strong desire to touch my mother's love and touch it like any child. But like everyone else, my opportunity to take a single decision in its implementation is not unrestricted and under sole control.’
