Sirajganj 4 lakh robbery, case against 4 people including Jubo Dal leader

In broad daylight from the son of a businessman in Sirajganj A case has been filed against 4 people including the youth party leader on the charge of 4 lakh robbery.

On Monday (December 15), evening Ratganj police station OC Golam Kibrita confirmed the case.

The accused are Taukir Ahmed Swapan (39), member secretary of Rataganj Municipal Youth Dal and son of Abdus Salam of Dhanga Mohalla, his associate Kamruzzaman Babu's son Md. Ted (25), son of Betu Purba Pasar Deraj Ali. Shaheen (26) and Md. Tanveer (23), son of Abu Akhtar of Maheshpur village.

Ragganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Golam Kibrita said that Taukir Ahmed Swapan had been demanding Tk 5 lakh for a long time from Dhanga Pramanik Paar businessman Nurul Islam. Denying him is scared.

In this situation, the businessman's son Asadul Islam was going to deposit Tk 4 lakh in a chaat bag in the bank. Taukir Ahmed Swapan and his associates stopped and beat Asadul at Dhangaja bus stand.

In protest of this incident, the locals immediately blocked the protest, and later the police brought the situation under control.

The OC also said that operations are going on in various places to arrest the accused, but it was not possible to recover the money that was arrested and robbed of the accused till Monday afternoon.
