Today is December 16. The Great Vision Day of the Bengali nation. On this day in 1971, after the surrender of the Pakistani forces, this year's Bijj Day was celebrated on December 16. This year's Bijta Day, on Tuesday (December 16), India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted a post on Facebook. In the post, Modi claimed the liberation war as India's war, but the Prime Minister of India did not take the name of Bangladesh anywhere in the post.‘
Modi wrote, ‘On Victory Day, we remember the brave soldiers whose courage and sacrifice made India a historic victory in 1971. Their determination and selfless service saved our nation and set a moment of pride in our history.’
He also wrote, ‘This day stands as a reminder of their valor and their unparalleled spirit. Their valor is inspiring generations of Indians.’
In a post last year too, Modi claimed the liberation war as India's war, saying, ‘Today, on Victory Day, we honor the courage and sacrifice of the brave soldiers in India's historic victory in 1971.’
Modi claimed, ‘Their selfless sacrifice and unwavering determination have saved our country and brought glory.’
The Prime Minister of India also wrote, ‘This day is their extraordinary heroism and their indomitable spirit. Respect for every one of their sacrifices will forever inspire generations and will be deeply embedded in the history of our country.’
