Moon sighted in Saudi Arabia, Eid al-Adha to be celebrated on June 6

The moon of the month of Zilhaj was sighted in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday. Accordingly, the holy Eid al-Adha will be celebrated in the country on June 6 (Friday), the 10th of Zilhaj. The country's authorities announced this today. Gulf News reported. 

The holy Hajj will be celebrated on June 5, the day before Eid.

Apart from this, Oman has also announced the celebration of Eid al-Adha on June 6. Earlier, Indonesia announced the celebration of Eid al-Adha on the same day.

Eid is usually celebrated in Bangladesh the day after Eid in Middle Eastern countries including Saudi Arabia. Accordingly, Eid-ul-Azha may be celebrated in Bangladesh on June 7 (Saturday), subject to the sighting of the moon.
