Trump wants to see Israel in the same position on Iran

US Secretary of State Christie Noam said that US President Donald Trump wants to see Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the same position on Iran, adding that she has conveyed this message to Netanyahu.

Al Jazeera reported this information in a report on Tuesday.

US Secretary of State Christie Noam said that she had conveyed a message to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu on behalf of President Donald Trump - that the US and Israeli policies on Iran should be the same.

Noam made the remarks in an interview with Fox News after a visit to Israel on Monday. He said his discussions with Netanyahu were “open and direct.” The comments from the top US official came as the US and Iran concluded the fifth round of nuclear talks in Rome, Italy.

"President Trump specifically sent me to discuss the progress of these negotiations with Prime Minister Netanyahu and how it is important for us to remain united," Noam said.

Earlier on Sunday, President Trump told reporters, "We had some very positive discussions with Iran. I can't say anything right now, but I think I'll have something good to tell you soon."
