A special information gathering was held in Nandigram, Bogra, on the occasion of the golden jubilee of independence with the participation of women. An open gathering was held in Banshbaria village of Burail union of the upazila on Tuesday afternoon, organized by the National Women's Organization and the Upazila Information Center of the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, as part of the second phase of the women's empowerment project through information and communication technology to build a digital Bangladesh. More than a hundred women participated in it.
Nandigram National Women's Organization Chairman Mahfuza Chowdhury presided over the event, with Upazila Executive Officer Shifa Nusrat as the chief guest. Other speakers included freedom fighters Shafiul Alam Chobi, Shahjahan Ali, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Abu Taher, Cooperative Officer Sabiha Afroz, Information Service Officer Tabassum Ulfat and officials of the Information Center.
