Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Haque said that BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has to go abroad for treatment and apply a new application to jail.
He gave this information at a press conference organized by Law Reporters Forum and MRDI at Hotel La Vinci in the capital on Saturday (August 28) afternoon.
The law minister said, ‘According to Section 401 of the Criminal Procedure Code, Khaleda Zia has the opportunity to go abroad for treatment subject to the permission of the government.’ In that case, he will have to go to jail again, then he has to apply again.’
He said, ‘In the light of the application that BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has been suspended and released, there is no opportunity to allow her to go abroad. The application has been settled.’
Anisul Haque said that the digital security law is needed to degrade, insulting one another on social media, but the abuse of this law is stopping.
