In the meeting, Baguja City Corporation, Bogujar Shibganj Upazila was divided into ‘Mokamtala’, Chakrita Upazila of Cox's Bazar divided into ‘Matamuhuri’, Thakurgaon Sadar Upazila and divided into ‘Ruhita’ and ‘Bhulli’ and Sadar Upazila of Lakshipur to form a new upazila called ‘Chandraganj’.
