The first shipment of Covid-19 vaccine for children has arrived in the country, which is suitable for children 5-11 years old, invented by Pfizer-BioNTech.
hygiene Director of the Directorate M Shamsul Haque said that a total of 1.5 lakh 2 thousand 400 doses of specially made vaccine have come to Dhaka.
He said, ‘We are planning to start school-based vaccination activities from next month.’
Noting that the date of starting the school-based vaccination is not yet fixed, he said, ‘The date will be finalized at the stage of policy formulation. I hope that it will be possible to give vaccination in Dhaka next month.’
There are many children who have remained outside the school and will also be brought under the vaccine, he said.
