20 fishermen along with the boat were captured by the Arakan Army

15 boats including 20 Bangladeshi fishermen have been captured by Myanmar's rebel group Arakan Army. Teknaf upazila executive officer Md. Adnan Chowdhury confirmed the matter on Tuesday (November 5) night. 

He said, in the afternoon, a team of armed Arakan Army seized a total of 15 boats, including 2 engine-driven and 13 non-engine wooden boats, and 20 fishermen on the boat from Naikhyangdia point near the mouth of the Naf river. According to the latest information, the fishermen along with the boats are currently kept inside the Fatunia (Pa Nyaung) canal near the mouth of the Nafna River. 

He also said that according to local sources, the fishermen had placed vengizal in the Myanmar part of the area adjacent to the mouth of the Naf river. The names and addresses of the arrested fishermen are not yet known. BGB has started work on their rescue. However, after talking to the victims' families and local residents, more details about the incident will be given later.
