Suman Kumar Nitai, Staff Correspondent: Keeping in mind the theme "Follow the law and build a smart Bangladesh", the National Road Safety Day was celebrated at the initiative of Kunderhat Highway Police Station in Nandigram, Bogra. On Sunday, October 22nd, at 10:30 am, a rally left the premises of Kunderhat Highway Police Station and circled the bus stand.
Kunderhat Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abbas Ali, Kunderhat Motor Workers Union Executive President Muktar Hossain, AL leader Najibullah Majnu, AL leader Anisur Rahman, Sergeant Shah Alam, various transport drivers and assistants and public figures were present at the time. All those present called on everyone to be aware along with drivers to build safe roads.
It is worth noting that an organization called 'Nirapad Sarak Chai' (NISCHA) was formed in 1993 under the leadership of film actor Ilias Kanchan with the aim of creating social awareness to reduce the increasing number of road accidents and demanding effective action.
