On the occasion of Independence Day-2022, videos of Bangabandhu's biography, historical speeches and freedom struggle were displayed through kiosks provided by the Upazila Agriculture Office under the Agricultural Weather Information System Improvement Project. People from various walks of life started thronging the kiosks from the morning to watch the videos of Bangabandhu from his childhood to his later life. In addition, the presence of school and college students was noticeable.
The days of various struggles of the Liberation War came alive through video images. Some were reciting Bangabandhu's historic March 7 speech after listening to it. Next to the kiosk was an exhibition of books written to commemorate Bangabandhu's various contributions to agriculture. Many people came and read the books, some were waving them around. Some were reciting some of Bangabandhu's quotes. Upazila Agriculture Officer Md. Adnan Babu said, as per the instructions of the Agricultural Weather Information System Improvement Project, we are showing videos of Bangabandhu's biography, historical speeches and freedom struggle on this great Independence Day. We are getting a huge response from the people. It has had a great impact especially among the students of schools and colleges. Bangabandhu's various qualities and ideals are spreading among them. In addition, books written to commemorate Bangabandhu's various contributions to agriculture are being displayed here and some books have been distributed free of cost to the scout members.
