Suman Kumar Nitai, Staff Correspondent: - International Disaster Reduction Day was celebrated in Nandigram, Bogra with various events under the theme 'Fight against inequality, build a disaster-resilient future'. On the occasion of the day, a rally was organized by the upazila administration on Friday (October 13) at around 10:30 am. The rally circled various roads of Nandigram town. After that, a fire drill was performed. Later, an awareness discussion meeting was held in the Upazila Parishad meeting room under the chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer Humayun Kabir and moderated by Upazila Project Implementation Officer Fazlul Haque.
Upazila Parishad Women's Vice Chairman Sraboni Akhter Banu, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Kurshia Akhter, Veterinary Surgeon Dr. Shariful Islam, Upazila Rural Development Officer Shah Alam, and Fire Service and Civil Defense Nandigram Station Officer Tanvir Hasan Pramukh spoke at the event.
