There is no alternative to uniting all tribals to achieve their demands: Brave freedom fighter Hari Shankar Saha

Suman Kumar Nitai, Staff Correspondent: Veteran freedom fighter Hari Shankar Saha, advisor to the Bangladesh Indigenous Union Central Committee, said, "There is no alternative to uniting all indigenous peoples to achieve constitutional recognition and just demands. Currently, indigenous peoples are backward in all aspects. We are working relentlessly to bring backward indigenous peoples forward."

He made these remarks at the inauguration ceremony of the Burail Primary School in Nandigram Upazila of Bogra at 4 pm on Friday (October 13) at the Burail Primary School under the chairmanship of Bangladesh Adivasi Union Nandigram Upazila Committee President Amal Mahato. He also said that the indigenous people also fought and gave their lives for the country during the Liberation War. But unfortunately, the demands of the indigenous people have not been implemented yet. Besides, the grants that the government gives to improve the living standards of the indigenous people are not available without the help of administrative officials at the upazila level.

The main speaker at the inauguration ceremony was Srikant Mahato, General Secretary of Bangladesh Adivasi Union Central Committee. Among the special guests who spoke were Bogra District Krishak Samity President Birmuktijoddha Santosh Kumar Pal, Adviser of Adivasi Union Bogra District Committee Birmuktijoddha Nimai Chandra Ghosh, Former President of Bogra District Sangsad Chhatra Union Nadim Mahmud, Abdus Samad, Sherpur Adivasi Union Bhumi Raksha Sangram Committee President Kamal Chandra Singh, General Secretary of Sherpur Adivasi Union Pran Kumar Singh, etc.

Later, a song performance by Bangladesh Udichi Bogra District Artist Group was held. The program was conducted by Kanai Ram Chauhan, Vice President of Nandigram Adivasi Union.
