Due to the upstream and heavy rains, the water of the Teesta river is flowing 1 cm below the danger limit.
At 9 am on Wednesday morning, the water level of Teesta river in Dimla of Nilphamari was recorded at 52.14 cm (the danger limit 52.15 meters).
Teesta water has started to enter the lower areas of East Chatnai, Khagakhjibai, Tepakhzibai, Khalisa Chapani, Jhunagach Chapani, Golmunda, Dautabai and Shaulmari upazila of Jaldhaka upazila.
Rabiul Islam Shahin, chairman of Dimla Tepakhziibai Unini Parishad, said that the water of the Teesta river has started to enter the lower areas. If the water is in the water, the lower areas are in flood.
