Film actress Nusrat Faria has been detained. She was detained at the immigration checkpost at Hazrat Shahjalal Airport on Sunday morning while traveling to Thailand. After the detention, the actress is being taken to the Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Branch (DB) office.
DB Joint Commissioner (Admin) Nasirul Islam told Samakal around 3:30 pm on Sunday that Nusrat Faria was being taken to the DB office after her arrest.
Nusrat Faria is facing an 'attempt to murder' case at the capital's Bhatara Police Station. She has been accused in the case of funding the Awami League for her stance against the anti-discrimination movement.
Meanwhile, Bhatara Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mazharul Islam confirmed that there is a case against actress Nusrat Faria there. He said, "She has not been handed over to our police station. As far as I know, she is being taken to the Intelligence Department (DB)."
