Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus has arrived in Tokyo, Japan, on a four-day state visit.
The chief advisor's press wing said he arrived there at 2:05 pm local time on Wednesday, 25 minutes ahead of schedule.
Earlier, on Tuesday (May 27) at 2:10 am, he left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for Japan. The chief advisor stopped in Hong Kong en route.
It is learned that the Chief Advisor will participate in the Nikkei conference. During the visit, Dr. Yunus plans to hold meetings with various Japanese government and private organizations and also discuss development cooperation. After the visit, the Chief Advisor is scheduled to return home on May 31.
