Sarjis Alam, the chief organizer of the northern region of the National Citizens Party (NCP), said, "For 17 years, the Awami League government has looted in the name of development. It has campaigned without developing. This is Hili, the country's second land port. The roads here are unfit for movement. There is no sign of development. We want to see how the government allocations for the development of the Hili land port area have been looted."
He made these remarks at a road rally at Hili Charmatha intersection in Hakimpur, Dinajpur on Tuesday afternoon.
Sarjis said, the responsibility of running Bangladesh should be handed over to a good leader, regardless of the party he belongs to. Symbols are not a big deal. People will vote if they see a good leader. People are more afraid of bad people, you will stop the misdeeds of bad people. You will see them escaping through the back door. The way Sheikh Hasina escaped.
Sadia Farzana Dina, Dr. Abdul Ahad, Dr. Atiq Mujahid, Sanwar Tushar, Abu Sayeed Leon and others spoke at the event.
Earlier in the morning, he held a road rally at Azad More in Ghoraghat. Later, he inaugurated the NCP's temporary office.
