There is no road named after Ziaur Rahman in Maryland

The authorities have announced the cancellation of the decision taken to name the street as 'Ziaur Rahman Way' in Baltimore City, Maryland, United States.
This decision was jointly taken by the City Mayor's Office and the Department of Transportation on Friday, September 10.
This decision was announced from a virtual meeting after a complaint was filed by the United States Awami League and the Congress of Bangladeshi-Americans Inc. Later, the official announcement was made by the City Mayor's Office and the Department of Transportation.
A military dictator, a cold-headed murderer, an abettor and mastermind of the assassination of the Father of the Nation, a killer of democracy, who promulgated the black law 'Indemnity Ordinance' which obstructs the prosecution of murderers, cannot have a road named after him, the complaint said.
Taking these issues into account, the city mayor's office and the Department of Transportation canceled the naming of the road.
