Own Correspondent: In Nandigram of Bogra, the pressure to sell land in the name of pond renovation is increasing day by day. Even after regular cases and fines in mobile courts, the activity of Hiridi selling pond soil has not stopped.
Going to the surface, it can be seen that Md. Abu Zafar (55), son of deceased Zain Uddin, son of Mozam Hossain, son of deceased Zain Uddin of Ridhail village of Veku contact, is selling soil in the name of renovating an old pond with an excavator (Vecu) machine at a place called Dhwagari in Ridhail Dakshin Para of Burail Union No. 1 of the upazila. (35), Ekabbar Hossain's son Md. Obaidul Islam (45). For the crime of selling soil and destroying paved roads in the name of pond renovation.
Nandigram Assistant Commissioner (Land) Kurshia Akhtar conducted a mobile court on January 19 at around 3:30 pm and registered a regular case in the name of the three people. Due to the case, their work was stopped.
But after a few days, after showing a thumb to the administration, from January 31 again, they dug a hole in the wash pond of Ridhail village with an excavator (Veku) machine and sold the soil in a drum truck to various local people and establishments in the dark of night. On the one hand, it destroys the curved road, on the other hand, the ground falls on the curved road and creates an accident trap. Roads are covered with soil as a result of soil being transported by drum trucks. In this thick fog and heavy rain, the road will become slippery and major accidents will happen.
In this regard, Atiqul Islam of Veku Contact was called several times, but his phone was switched off. So it was not possible to take his statement.
Nandigram Assistant Commissioner (Land) Kurshia Akhtar said, "On January 19, three regulars were charged against three people at the police station. If the work is still going on, legal action will be taken."
