Rohingya women arrested including Yaba

Gazipur Metropolitan Detective Branch-DB arrested a Rohingya woman drug dealer named Rima Akhter (20) by raiding a multi-storied building in Tongi, Gazipur.

He was arrested from the 8th floor of Morshedur Rahman Milon's 10-storey house in Madhya Auchpara College Road Kachabazar area on Monday around 10:30 pm. At that time, a large amount of yaba was recovered from the custody of the arrested.

A case was filed in Tongi West Police Station on Tuesday.

Arrested Rima Akhter is the daughter of Zaheer Ahmed of Rohingya Leda Camp of Teknaf Police Station in Cox's Bazar District. He was living on rent in that house on College Road and was carrying on drug business.

According to the police, based on secret information, a team of DB police raided the multi-storied building around 10:30 pm and arrested the female drug dealer from the rented house of the 8th floor. At this time, 1,600 pieces of yaba were recovered from his custody.

When contacted in this regard, Gazipur Metropolitan DB (South) Police Sub-Inspector Ashraful Islam said, after filing a case at Tongi West Police Station, the arrested woman has been sent to Gazipur Court.
